Growth Mindset is a concept developed by psychologist Professor Carol Dweck at Stanford University. Her work primarily focuses on motivation, personality, and developmental psychology, with her most notable contribution being the development of the Growth Mindset concept. Dweck observed that people have different attitudes toward challenges and failure: some believe their abilities are fixed (fixed mindset), while others believe abilities can be developed through effort and learning. Through experiments with students, she found that those who believe in the possibility of developing their abilities demonstrate greater resilience, perseverance, and success. She called this way of thinking a "growth mindset" and emphasized the importance of positive feedback that encourages effort rather than just outcomes. Carol Dweck first introduced her research on growth mindset in her seminal book, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, published in 2006. Many companies have implemented the growth mindset as part of their corporate culture, including Microsoft, Google, P&G, and Unilever.
